Lac La Martre Adventures is 100% owned and operated by Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd. (a subsidiary of the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation). Our seasoned and skilled management and team aim to provide all guests with an outstanding experience focused on service, safety, and environmental consciousness.

Prioritizing the hiring & training of Tłı̨chǫ citizens within the lodge
Lac La Martre Adventures contributes to the economic development and reconciliation of the community. It aims to reduce unemployment rates, particularly during the operational season, and provide meaningful, skill-building employment opportunities.
This commitment not only strengthens the bond between the business and the local community but also enhances the overall guest experience as visitors can engage with and learn from Tłı̨chǫ culture, stories, traditions, and stewardship, further differentiating the lodge in the market.

Guests will notice a new welcome sign onsite in 2025!
The artist is James Wedzin, from the Tłı̨chǫ community of Behchokǫ̀. James praises his grandmother for encouraging his early interest in traditional art and finds joy in seeing his son and wife learning to paint, as well as students in the workshops he teaches.
James is known for painting northern landscapes, animal imagery, and Northern Lights. Many of his paintings incorporate hidden animals into the landscapes, water and the skies.
We look forward to seeing you gather for your group photos here for many years to come, as part of your visit!

One of the ways we show our appreciation is by supporting an annual fishing derby that brings the community together. It's a chance for us to celebrate the remarkable natural beauty that surrounds us and share it with our friends, families, and neighbors.

Lac La Martre Adventures is situated on Clemy Island surrounded by the great waters of Lac La Martre Lake in the Tłı̨chǫ region of the Northwest Territories and iis 100% owned by Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd. We honor the Tłı̨chǫ citizens, who from time immemorial, have been living and working on this land.
